Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of vokse. By creating an account, you agree to them. The short version: you own your data, we don't sell it, you can leave any time, and we hold ourselves to GDPR, even where we technically wouldn't have to.

1. Who we are
vokse is a product of Exafire LLC, a company registered in the United States. We're regulated as a software provider: we are not a bank, an EMI, or a payment institution, and we never move money on your behalf. Your data is stored and processed in the European Union.
2. The service
vokse provides personal-finance software, an AI assistant, and read-only open-banking access. The AI uses the same audited functions as the UI and requires your explicit confirmation for anything destructive. Open-banking access is delivered under PSD2 (Open Banking); we never receive or store your bank credentials.
3. Your account
You must be at least 18 to use vokse. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe. We strongly recommend turning on the passkey or authenticator-app multi-factor option in Settings → Security. One person per account; one workspace per household; multi-person households use the built-in invite flow with role-scoped access.
4. Your data, your rules
You own all data you upload or generate. We process it only to operate the service for you. You can export everything as JSON or CSV at any time from Settings → Privacy & data. No email, no waiting. Deleting your account triggers a 30-day soft delete; after that we purge it from production and rolling backups within an additional 35 days.
5. AI and confirmations
We use OpenAI GPT models for the assistant, for transcribing voice notes, for reading receipt photos and for the similarity vectors behind category suggestions, with Anthropic Claude as the fallback for the assistant and for receipt reading. Your conversations are not used to train public models. This is contractually enforced with every vendor. Every AI tool call that changes something lands in your audit log with a trace ID. Destructive actions (move money between envelopes, delete transactions, edit rules) require your explicit confirmation tap.
6. Subscription and payment
Pro is billed monthly or yearly at the price shown on the pricing page, after a free trial. No credit card is required to start the trial, wherever you sign up. On the web, cards and SEPA Direct Debit are accepted via Stripe. If you subscribe inside the Android or iOS app, Google or Apple charges you through their own store at the same price and under their payment terms, and you manage and cancel that subscription there; those purchases don't appear under invoices in vokse. Your subscription renews automatically; cancel any time from Settings, Billing. No email loops, no retention department. After cancellation your data stays exportable for 30 days.
7. Refunds and credit
Annual plans: full refund within 14 days of the first or renewal charge, no questions asked. Monthly plans: prorated credit on cancellation. If you subscribed inside the app, Google or Apple holds the money, so the refund goes through them and their rules apply; write to us anyway and we'll support the request. Statutory consumer rights where you live apply on top. See /refund-policy for the full procedure.
8. Acceptable use
Don't use vokse to launder money, evade taxes, or break the law of any country we operate in. Don't probe the service for vulnerabilities outside our coordinated disclosure programme (security@vokse.ai). Don't scrape, resell or train models on our screens. If a court orders us to act, we'll comply, and tell you, unless legally barred from doing so.
9. Availability and changes
We aim for 99.9% monthly uptime and publish a live status check plus the incident log at /status.
10. Liability
We provide vokse "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our aggregate liability for any claim is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing here limits liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or where the consumer-protection law that applies to you does not allow it to be limited.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes go to the state and federal courts sitting in Bernalillo County, New Mexico. If you are a consumer, that does not take away the protection of the mandatory law of the country you live in, and you can always bring a claim before your local courts. Consumers in the EU can also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/odr.
12. Contact
For anything privacy-related, dpo@vokse.ai. For everything else, hello@vokse.ai. Average reply time on business days is currently 1 hour 42 minutes. The live SLA is at /contact.
