Accessibility Statement
Accessibility isn't a one-off audit. It's a discipline. vokse targets WCAG 2.2 level AA, with AAA where we can, and we test with real assistive tech before every release. This statement is current to the last release.
Standards we follow
WCAG 2.2 AA, the EN 301 549 European norm, and the EAA (European Accessibility Act) where it applies.
What we test with
VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, NVDA on Windows, TalkBack on Android. Keyboard-only navigation on every flow before release. Axe-core in CI on every page. Real users with low vision and motor impairments review major changes.
- Colour contrast: brand accent reaches 14.6:1 on dark canvas (AAA); text levels 1 and 2 are AAA; level 3 is AA at 14px+.
- Focus rings are explicit and never disabled; size scales with the OS preference.
- Keyboard traps don't exist: every overlay can be escaped with Esc, every menu cycles with arrow keys.
- Reduced motion is honoured automatically; no parallax, no auto-rotating carousels.
Known gaps
The desktop budget editor has known issues with screen-reader announcements of column-totals. A fix is in QA and scheduled for the next release. Dragging categories with the mouse currently has no keyboard equivalent in nested mode; a flat-mode alternative exists from the same screen.
Tell us when we slip
If something doesn't work for you, write to accessibility@vokse.ai. We aim to acknowledge within two business days and we share progress in the changelog. You can also raise a complaint with your national accessibility body if you'd rather.
